Whilst we were working for a multinational Defence and Aerospace company, we performed Functional Failure analysis for a system in accordance with Defence and Aviation Standards.
This led to us conducting the Hazard Analysis for the Line Replaceable Items (LRIs) within the system and apportioning safety requirements to meet the system-level requirements and relevant legislation.We ensured that safety requirements were flown down to lower-level Shop Replaceable Items (SRIs), to ensure SRIs could be designed to comply with the system-level specification and safety requirements.
Additionally, we conducted a review of all historical incident data to prevent historical issues from arising in the design. We advised on design changes to comply the system requirements and legislation. We continue to work on the project and update the Hazard Analyses with any additional evidence to state compliances. Our performance on the project has led to further work within the company.
